hi there, today I'm gonna tell you about what I like it to change to my study program, I'm from the career of visual arts and I have a lot to say about it. In first place, related to the subjects that we have to study, we have six courses of art history and we study since the biggest civilizations from egipt to Greece but we never studied precolumbian civilizations from America and I think that's terrible and that makes me think that the academy still being really Eurocentris and colonialist.

related to the workload I think that's really dependent of what teacher you have and what workshop you choose, because they are very different to each other so that's causes that the workload be unequal for students and I think that's should be more regulated, and related to the length of studies I think that four years is appropiate but the title memory should be appart from that four years and before to all the subjects not in last year because it's too much workload to dedicate the necessary time to the title memory.

The infrastructure of the faculty is quite precarious, arts is one of the faculties that receives the least funding in my university and that's a reflection of the state of culture in Chile, we have a lot of very old instruments and machines that don't work, also when it rains the faculty get flooded and clasess are suspended, the roof is very old and is made of a carcinogenic material that can be very dangerous. About technology is the same situation, we don´t have a lot of resources to be projectors and tlevisions for all the classrooms.

About teaching methods, your experience depend on the workshop and the section that you are, is very variable because the teachers have academic freedom and they are so different from each other, in their experience and formation, their disciplines are very diverse and the way that they conceive art. To me the relationship with my teachers and their methods has been good in general, and that was because i knew how to choose my teachers.

that's all for today, thanks for read me:)
